What I wore in Cappadocia, Turkey!
After my final year exams, I went off on my highly-anticipated graduation trip to Turkey and Greece, and managed to shoot a handful of outfits which I'll be publishing here. This is the first of the lot, taken in Gorome, a small village in Cappadocia, Turkey. My friends and I went there mainly to experience a hot air balloon tour (see my photo on Instagram), and stayed at the delightful SOS Cave Hotel - a must-stay location!
Turkish culture is very conservative (due to its Islamic influences), and the norm is to cover up. This proved to be really difficult in the blazing heat! A really good way to avoid exposing skin, though, is to opt for thin layers. This Madam Rage kimono (which is now on sale!) did the trick nicely, as it covered my shoulders and upper arms while allowing my skin to breathe. The Primark wide-leg trousers also gave good coverage while allowing me to move with ease, definitely something you need in the rocky Cappadocia landscape. I did think I made a mistake wearing so much jewellery out, though, as I nearly melted under all that hardware!
Keep an eye out for more posts on my trip outfits! :)
