Forget split hems - it's all about the split sleeve!Last week, I was invited by The Press Tent to attend an event promoting interaction between local brands and bloggers. There were also plenty of cocktails promised, so with a week in between exams, I (finally) slapped on some make-up and a nice dress and headed to Manchester Escalator for the highly anticipated event. I had a really great time, and hope to feature some of the collaborations I have planned with some of the brands here before I head back to Singapore - keep an eye out for them!
With a dress code of 'Beyoncé', I picked out this dress gifted absolutely ages ago. Not too short, but showing off enough leg, this shift dress immediately caught my eye on Nuer Clothing's website with its amazing split sleeve details. I'm not normally a fan of capes, but the sleeves give that effect without the added restrictions around the shoulders. It was really easy to move around in, too, and the only thing I had to worry about was not getting my sleeves into the cocktails!
I accessorised with silver and blue jewellery, all of which have been featured on this blog before. I also slipped on a pair of my comfiest New Look stilettos, also in grey, for a cool tone look.
What do you guys think of my outfit? Also, just a heads-up, I'm done with my exams, and with university! Expect loads more exciting things to come - keep an eye on my Instagram for some snaps of my upcoming holiday to Turkey and Greece, too! x
